Overview

At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose - to improve people's lives. Family Support Worker 22.5 Based in Keynsham & working in Chew Valley. Are you passionate about supporting children and families with children under 5? Bright Start Children's Centre Services are looking for a highly committed Family Support Worker to support delivery in Bath East area. This role involves supporting the provision of high-quality targeted Early Help services for families with children under 5 years, living in the Bath and North East Somerset area.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with children and their families through Family Support work, primarily delivering research-based practice within the family home and through group-based activities.
• Collaborate with a range of agencies to help vulnerable children and families access the right help, at the right time by the right service and as early as possible, so that they thrive and achieve the best outcomes (Early Help).
• Work with partners in Health Visiting, Midwifery, Early Years settings and the Voluntary Sector to deliver a Think Family approach.
• Be highly motivated and capable of working as part of a team to deliver the BEST services for local families (Bold, Empowering, Supportive and Transparent).
• Be willing to drive as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification in Early Years, Education, Health or Social Services, preferably educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Substantial experience of working in a family support context using a Think Family approach.
• Ability to work well as part of a team to deliver services.
