Family Support Worker – Targeted Early Help

Location: Dudley Family Hubs & Cable Plaza

Service Area: Children’s Services – Targeted Early Help

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Overview

Are you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children, young people, and families?

Dudley’s Targeted Early Help Service is growing, and we are looking for an empathetic and committed Family Support Worker to join our team. Based across Dudley’s Family Hubs and Cable Plaza, this role focuses on supporting families with complex needs in the community. You’ll bring compassion, leadership, and strong safeguarding practice to ensure the very best outcomes for children and families.

What You’ll Do
  • Providing direct support to children, young people, and families tailored to their individual needs.
  • Building trusting, positive relationships that empower families and promote resilience.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and community groups to deliver integrated early help.
  • Helping families navigate services and access timely support through the Dudley Early Help Strategy.
  • Ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are upheld at all times.
  • Contributing to service development and ensuring practice aligns with Dudley’s Continuum of Need.
