Job summary

A global food manufacturing company based in Peterhead is seeking a Factory Technician to join their maintenance team. The successful candidate will execute both routine and reactive maintenance on all equipment, be involved in line improvements, and communicate effectively with production and management. Job description

Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively with our growing client to recruit a Factory Technician.

The company based in Peterhead is a food manufacturer who exports globally and is going through an exciting period as they undertake expansion on site.

You will be part of the maintenance team, working on a daily basis with other engineers and be responsible for all the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic work both internally and externally to the production area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out both routine and reactive maintenance to all plant, equipment, services and building as required, to include fault finding and repairs
  • Assist in maintaining current PPM schedule
  • Assist with developing and implementing line improvements
  • Assist in bespoke projects and installations
  • Become an active member of the Health & Safety team, with a view to constantly furthering site standards
  • Effectively communicate machinery issues & timescales with both Production and Management team

The ideal candidate will be a time-served engineer and have a mechanical background. You will be experienced in electrical fault finding, mechanical maintenance and repair and would ideally be qualified to HNC level in an engineering discipline.

The successful candidate will enjoy a pay rate of up to £20 per hour depending on experience, have great development and progression opportunities and be part of an excellent people culture.
