Overview

Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts University in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Join our team of Facilities and Maintenance Operatives providing essential building maintenance and support services across the Estate.
  • Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance and security of university buildings, furniture and equipment, and support the in-house team who are assisted by external contractors.
  • Act as a key holder on a rota basis to ensure University buildings are safe, secure and ready for use.
  • Assist in the preparation of buildings and logistics for University events.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience of working in a building support or maintenance role or have undertaken these duties as part of another post.
  • Access to own transport to enable acting as a key holder.
  • A trade background and experience of supporting events is desirable.
Additional information
  • The hours will be on a rota shift pattern including 6am starts, late finishes and weekend working. Start or finish times may vary depending on University activity and shift pattern.
