Job summary

A global packaging leader located in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced operator to manage polythene extrusion equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Working safe in accordance with site procedures and safe systems of work
  • Reporting all hazards and act on them accordingly
  • Housekeeping on all extrusion lines, recycling units and packing automation
  • Monitor of product quality and ensure all quality checks and testing is carried out in line with specifications
  • Monitor and manage line output rates, utilisation, scrap levels against plan/targets on each line
  • Operate extrusion machinery and monitor and manage recycling equipment on each unit
  • Ensure accurate data is recorded and inputted correctly
  • Ensure a good handover of information to the incoming operator
Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience in the operation of polythene extrusion equipment
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment (min 2 years experience) training will be given
  • Good team working and communication
  • Positive and pro-active attitude
  • Be able to work unsupervised and using own initiative
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities to ensure deadlines are met
