An NHS Foundation Trust in Torquay is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join their urgent care team. We are looking for a dynamic, HCPC registered Physiotherapist with an interest in frailty to join our admission avoidance therapy team who work across our urgent and emergency care areas at Torbay Hospital.
If you're enthusiastic about delivering high-quality, person‑centred, evidence‑based care, like working in a fast paced environment and have a solid background in frailty, rehabilitation, and elderly care, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

You will be based in the urgent and emergency care department at Torbay Hospital, covering ED, the acute medical unit, including a contribution to our 4 - 6pm late duty and weekend service.
You will provide expert physiotherapy interventions for older patients. This would include a broad range of Physiotherapeutic assessment and intervention types associated with frail older people including respiratory and MSK.
You will lead and support junior physiotherapists, assistants, and students, while working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.
You will play a key role in discharge planning and rehabilitation strategies, contributing to an integrated 7-day service that improves patient outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to service development and engage in research opportunities.
