Responsibilities
  • You’ll be someone who can work pro‑actively, managing your own tasks, but also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively.
  • You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients.
  • Act as the key employment tax point of contact for the client, including responsibility for quality and risk, responding quickly to, and anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress, and maintaining regular contact.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, including control of billings and cash collection within the firm’s criteria.
  • Deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients and complex projects.
  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s quality control procedures and understand potential risks to the firm.
  • Maintain knowledge of taxation, keep up to date with changes, and apply specialist knowledge to complex tax issues.
Qualifications
  • In‑depth, up‑to‑date knowledge of taxation with specialist knowledge and the ability to deal with complex tax issues.
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of clients and all related matters.
  • Experience in managing complex projects.
  • Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • Understanding of potential risks to the firm in relation to quality control procedures.
