ELITE Supported Employment is a registered charity with over 30 years of experience enabling people with disabilities and barriers to work to access and sustain meaningful employment. Operating across South, Mid and West Wales, we champion inclusion through personalised, empowering support.

As part of Fedcap UK, a not-for-profit organisation committed to economic mobility, ELITE is strategically positioned to grow its impact through partnerships, innovation, and enterprise.

We're now seeking a strategic and collaborative Executive Director to lead ELITE into its next phase of growth, transformation, and social value.

About the Role

As Executive Director, you'll lead the strategic and operational direction of the organisation, working closely with our Board of Trustees, the CEO of Fedcap UK, and the wider Fedcap US Economic Development team to drive forward our bold Economic Development ambitions.

You will develop and launch a Social Enterprise facilities management service and brand - a high-impact venture that creates inclusive employment and generates revenue growth within 3 years.

This is a pivotal role, blending leadership, innovation, partnership development, and enterprise. You will also oversee and support the governance of the charity, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, launch and growth of new Social Enterprise ventures, starting with a facilities management brand
  • Collaborate with Fedcap US's Economic Development practice to align UK strategy with global impact models.
  • Identify and pursue new income streams, public contracts and commercial partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with commissioners, funders, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee operational delivery and ensure excellence across financial, quality and safeguarding standards.
  • Champion innovation through social enterprise and sustainable service models.
  • Build ELITE's visibility as a high-impact, innovative social enterprise brand.
About You

We're looking for a values-driven, strategic growth leader with a deep understanding of disability inclusion and employment, combined with commercial acumen and board-level credibility.

You will bring:
  • Senior leadership experience in scaling services and social enterprises, with a proven track record of driving measurable growth and expanding revenue streams.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strategic relationships with Welsh Government, DWP, local authorities, and third sector commissioners.
  • Strong understanding of the disability employment landscape and inclusive employment practice.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business development, finance, and procurement teams.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
  • A collaborative, empowering leadership style that builds strong teams and partnerships.
Desirable:
  • Experience in facilities management, supported employment, or charity/social enterprise leadership.
  • Familiarity with charity governance and enterprise-focused charities.
Why Join ELITE?

This is more than a leadership role - it's a chance to shape the future of inclusive employment in Wales. You'll be joining a purpose-driven, respected organisation with a national profile and strong values. Your leadership will directly influence the lives of people facing real barriers - helping them to access dignity, purpose, and opportunity through work.
