Churchill Retirement Living is a privately-owned, family-run business, and we’re going places. We take pride in what we do and in our people. We have ambitious growth plans, currently employing 700 people and expanding.

We provide quality, purpose-built one- and two-bedroom apartments in desirable locations across the UK for those seeking an independent lifestyle in later life. Our developments are designed to eliminate the hassles and fears faced by older people, offering security, peace of mind, and independence.

We have received numerous awards, including being recognized by The Sunday Times as the 3rd best company to work for, and in 2016, we were named overall ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ by the WhatHouse? Awards. [Is this now too historic?]

Our culture is built on our values - Trust, Openness, Respect, Communication, and Honesty (TORCH).

About the role

As part of the Executive Office, you will act as an ambassador for the company, supporting the CEO, MD, and CFO by managing shifting priorities with calm efficiency, handling busy diaries, and building strong relationships across the company to ensure Directors have what they need, when they need it. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing an active calendar, preparing documents, completing expense reports, and arranging complex travel.
  • Facilitating smooth communication between the Executive Office and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Anticipating priorities and upcoming projects, meetings, and requirements.
  • Following up on information requests, reports, and correspondence.
  • Creating a friendly and welcoming environment in the Executive Office for colleagues across the business.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

About you

We seek an experienced, proactive, solutions-oriented Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, ambitious environment. Your background should include supporting senior directors or executives, preferably in a growth-oriented or privately owned business, though this is not essential.

You will be highly organized, structured, and timely in your work, with the ability to adapt outside routine, think quickly, and handle diverse responsibilities. Anticipating requirements and possessing confident communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in taking minutes and actions during meetings, are required.

You will join a high-performing support team that collaborates while focusing on individual tasks aligned with overall business goals.

Our Values - TORCH: Trust, Openness, Respect, Communication, and Honesty.
