Job description

Are you passionate about helping people turn their lives around?

You’ll be working at a pioneering ex-offender project unlike anything you’ve seen before. The programme combines wellness activities like meditation, CBT, cooking skills, table tennis, and outdoor walks with practical support such as job search assistance, CV writing, self-employment sessions, and confidence-building workshops — all designed to support participants’ journeys toward a better future.

In this role, you will deliver one-to-one coaching and support sessions, starting with an action plan tailored to each individual. Your ongoing sessions will focus on helping clients set and achieve goals across key areas including healthcare, education, employment, and wellness. In addition to 1:1 support, you’ll also lead small group workshops covering the project’s core activities.

Full training is provided, both online and in-person, including shadowing an experienced colleague for 2–4 weeks.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will make a tangible difference. However, you’ll need to be confident with administrative work, as detailed recording and tracking of outcomes is essential. You should also be comfortable working towards targets, as the project’s aim is to deliver real, measurable impact on participants’ lives.

About You To apply, you must have experience supporting individuals facing significant barriers to progression. While experience working with ex-offenders would be ideal, we are equally interested in candidates with backgrounds in mental health, homelessness, youth work, or similar areas — provided you can show a track record of helping clients make progress in key areas like those mentioned above.

You might have worked previously as a:

  • Probation Officer
  • Supported Housing Officer
  • Drug and Alcohol Support Worker
  • Employment Advisor
  • Hostel Worker
  • Youth Worker
