Team/Role Overview

The Event Marketing Project Coordinator is an individual contributor and team member. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with an understanding of industry standards and practices. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on information presented, finding workable solutions. Breaks down an event into smaller tasks, documents, plans and executes them. Demonstrates an understanding of integration with partners and stakeholders to accomplish the objectives of an event. Expects impactful communication and diplomacy skills with an ability to handle complex/sensitive information. Quality and timeliness of service provided are a measure of effectiveness of self, team and job function performance.

What you'll do
  • Provides event marketing coordinator services supporting Senior Event Project Managers and all business units across Citi.
  • Contributes to providing specialised end to end event marketing strategy, planning and execution of client and employee events.
  • Develops event marketing strategies and leads initiatives to drive results for our clients and business partners.
  • Participates in event logistics, planning and execution.
  • Ensures all events comply with Citi branding marketing and controls; marketing materials, signage and displays.
  • Partners with Global Event Management Web Services to create and execute event content, website design, registration services and attendee reporting.
  • Manages event financial reporting and ensures all data meets all compliance criteria; reconciles invoices and final cost reporting and captures cost savings.
  • Supports all Citi Expense Management initiatives and facilitates event risk evaluations.
  • Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
What we'll need from you
  • Event Marketing or Hospitality Industry Experience in Financial Services/FinTech Event Marketing a plus.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle projects that have long and short lead times.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with proven success in being people-focused.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Collaborative "team player" orientation with a strong regional cultural awareness.
  • Advanced analytical, problem‑solving and reporting skills.
  • Flexibility in work hours a must; work and travel is required while managing events including weekends and some holiday.
  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
