They are now seeking an Event Manager to join their team and manage their flagship portfolio of international events!

THE ROLE

Now looking for an Event Manager to join the team, on a 4-6 month, fixed-term contract (parental leave cover) to help scale their annual program of events. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of event planning and delivery while serving as the single-threaded event delivery lead for multiple large-scale, high-impact events.

Responsibilities of the Event Manager will include:

• Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple flagship events throughout the year.
• Own event run-of-show delivery, from ideation through on-site execution.
• Project manage AV and stage production, from ideation through on-site execution.
• Conduct vendor RFP cycles for all supplier types (venues, catering, decorators, musicians, AV production); negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favourable terms and costs.
• Partner with Sales and Finance teams to ensure event delivery is commercially viable while building event experiences that exceed attendee expectations.
• Partner with Research, Product and Customer Engagement teams to build holistic event strategies that support our broader community engagement roadmap.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Event Manager candidate must have at least 5+ years solid event management experience in corporate events for senior audiences that have heavy production elements. Experience in project managing AV & stage production is preferrable. You will require experience negotiating and managing supplier contracts and building strong relationships.
