Are you an organised, detail-driven professional who thrives on ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient operations? Do you want to play a key role in supporting a fast-growing, purpose-driven organisation at the forefront of the UK’s utilities and energy transition sector?

OCU Group is seeking a proactive and highly capable Estates Compliance Manager to help us keep our nationwide estate running safely, efficiently, and fully compliant. This is a pivotal role with real impact — one that keeps our people safe, our sites compliant, and our operations moving.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Estates Compliance Manager, you’ll be the central force behind the seamless operation of our estate. Your responsibilities will include:

Facilities Management & System Oversight
  • Managing the OCU Group facilities management ticketing system to ensure all requests are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently.
Supplier Coordination & Procurement
  • Sourcing, evaluating, and coordinating external suppliers and contractors.
  • Generating and tracking purchase orders for all estates-related goods and services.
  • Organising and scheduling internal maintenance teams and external contractors with minimal operational disruption.
Compliance, Reporting & Governance
  • Producing detailed management information (MI), KPI reports, and compliance updates.
  • Maintaining accurate health & safety and statutory compliance records (e.g., fire safety, legionella, lift maintenance).
  • Monitoring compliance with legislation, standards, and internal policies.
Budget & Cost Control Support
  • Assisting in developing estates budgets and monitoring spend.
  • Highlighting variances and supporting cost-efficient solutions.
Administrative Support
  • Providing essential administrative support across the estates & facilities teams, including correspondence, meeting coordination, and maintaining digital records.
What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is both operationally strong and compliance-minded, with:

  • Proven experience in facilities administration, office management, or a similar coordination role.
  • Technical proficiency in software/ticketing systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and finance/procurement tools.
  • Exceptional organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication skills, written and verbal, across all levels of the business and with suppliers.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, especially regarding compliance.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
