Job summary

A recruitment agency in England seeks an ER Specialist to deliver expert Employee Relations advice and support in a shared services environment. You will manage high-volume ER cases, resolve complex issues, and provide insights through data analysis. This role requires strong ER advisory experience and is offered on a 3-month contract basis with a pay rate of £21.00 - £24.00 per hour, hybrid working arrangements included.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on ER cases including grievance, disciplinary, absence, probation and performance.
  • Manage high-volume caseloads (40-50 cases), including backlog clearance.
  • Resolve complex and escalated ER issues in line with SLAs.
  • Use and maintain ER systems in line with data protection requirements.
  • Analyse ER data to provide insight, recommendations and service improvements.
  • Support ongoing ER activity and projects across the service centre.

Skills

Strong ER advisory experience across core ER case types
Confident user of ER case management systems
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Job description

ER Specialist
Rate: £21.00 - £24.00 per hour PAYE
Duration: 3 months
Location: Birmingham (London or Salford considered with travel to Birmingham)
Hybrid: 5 days onsite for first 2 weeks, then 1-2 days per week
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (35 hours)

Role Purpose

Deliver specialist Employee Relations advice and process support across the workforce within a shared services environment. Provide clear guidance to managers using policy, process and data, managing cases through the ER case management system.
