Responsibilities
  • Stay updated on recent developments in UK environmental legislation and assist in summarising and communicating these changes to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to our carbon accounting process, supporting our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with various requirements related to our environmental permits.
  • Participate in identifying lessons from environmental incidents and assist in conducting internal environmental audits.
  • Support the environmental management system to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement, enhancing our overall environmental performance.
  • Support new low‑carbon projects in obtaining environmental permits, playing a crucial role in expanding our sustainable energy initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of environmental sustainability reports, helping to showcase our commitment to sustainable practices.
Qualifications
  • Currently studying a physical or environmental science degree programme.
  • A strong desire to gain exposure to environmental legislation and standards relevant to industry and permitted sites.
  • Good interpersonal skills with an eagerness to learn and adapt to working across various functions.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental management systems and audit management.
