Purpose of the Post

To lead a team of Environmental Team Assistants providing a quality customer focused recycling and waste service that provides value for money and meets the needs of all our customers across the borough.

To ensure the safe collection of scheduled recycling and waste collections on a daily basis

To continuously reduce collection complaints / problems, improve service delivery quality and maximize St Helens recycling performance.

Knowledge

• Demonstrate a good practical knowledge of recycling & waste collections
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of safe working practices

Experience

• Experience with driving all types of vehicles including HGV.
• Experience of collecting all forms of waste collections.
• Experience of drivers hours and regulations

Qualifications
