Overview

The Level 1 Environmental Specialist assists with environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability initiatives. This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, minimize environmental impacts, and support sustainable practices.

Responsibilities
  • Support environmental compliance activities and regulatory affairs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory adherence and minimize environmental impacts.
  • Assist in sustainability initiatives within the organization.
  • Work with team on environmental matters; contribute to project delivery and reporting.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates should have zero to five years of experience in environmental sampling and compliance.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental regulations, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate on environmental matters within the organization.
  • Experience operating power boats and watercraft; ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; effective communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects.
Work Schedule

Work schedule: Monday–Thursday 07:00–17:30, with occasional Fridays and weekends (at the manager’s discretion).
