Job Schedule: Full time

Weekly Hours: 32.00

Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.00

Department Details

We are like family in our department. We are here for each other no matter what. The position is 5:30 am to 2:00pm it's every other weekend and every other holiday.

Responsibilities

Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient/rooms and assigned areas for patients, visitors and associates by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines. Tasks include, but are not limited to: emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Demonstrate knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools and techniques in a healthcare environment to provide a clean and sterile environment for patients and facility staff. May be responsible for cleaning patient rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas to meet health standards.

Wear the proper protective equipment, keep storage, equipment and carts stocked, clean, and tidy. Access to pagers and other technology to be used appropriately. Assist in the laundry areas as appropriate. May have access to technology applications depending on location.

Physical activities include significant use of arms and legs, lifting up to 40-50 lbs, and movement on feet for most of the shift. May be exposed to noise from equipment.

Hours may include overtime, call, backup call, nights, days, weekends, and holidays depending on location.

Qualifications

Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills. Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.
