Senior Associate / Legal Director / Partner - Environmental -Exeter- 6+ years PQE

Location: Exeter (Hybrid & Flexible)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £85,000 to £120,000

Chadwick Nott are delighted to be assisting a nationally recognised law firm in their search for a senior environmental law specialist to join their expanding Planning and Environmental team. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of the firm's environmental offering across the UK, working alongside a highly regarded lead partner and contributing to a growing national practice.

The Role

This strategic role offers a broad and stimulating caseload across both contentious and non-contentious environmental matters.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on environmental law and regulatory compliance
  • Supporting commercial and corporate transactions with environmental due diligence
  • Handling Environmental Information Regulation queries
  • Collaborating with colleagues across Public Sector, Real Estate, Construction, and Corporate teams
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Leading marketing and business development initiatives
  • Managing files in compliance with Lexcel procedures
  • Participating in firm-wide and departmental training
  • Mentoring junior legal staff and secretaries

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in environmental law
  • Strong academic background and technical legal expertise
  • Proven ability to manage complex matters independently
  • Excellent client service and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Natural credibility in client-facing situations
  • Highly organised and methodical approach
  • Outstanding communication skills across all platforms
