Job summary

A local authority in Hampshire is looking for an experienced contractor to assist with food hygiene inspections. The role involves conducting 50-70 inspections, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring compliance with the Food Law Code of Practice. This is a 3-month contract offering competitive rates and flexible working patterns. The contractor can work from home but must attend the office at the start and end of the contract.

What is the role
  • Between 50-70 food hygiene inspections - Mostly Cat Ds withs someEs
  • Completion of a handwritten inspection form, a handwritten report of visit left on-site and, where necessary, sending of a typed report.
  • Required to either send the inspection paperwork electronically or hand deliver to the team manager who will review and enter on to the database.
What is required
  • Must be capable of being authorised under the Food Law Code of Practice (England) to undertake food hygiene inspections
  • Recent experience of doing food hygiene inspections of food businesses for a local authority either as an employee or a contractor
  • Completion of the Food Competency Assessment
