Are you passionate about protecting and enhancing the environment to make a real impact on our roads? We're looking for an Environment Team Manager to join our team in the South East at National Highways.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the environmental future of the Strategic Road Network, ensuring our projects and maintenance activities are sustainable, compliant, and forward-thinking. You'll play a key role in delivering our environmental priorities through :

  • Managing and developing a team of environmental specialists, supporting their growth and performance.
  • Acting as the regional focal point for environmental requirements, impacts, and needs.
  • Ensuring environmental considerations are embedded in forward programmes and maintenance plans.
  • Setting direction for inspections and maintenance regimes to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintaining accurate environmental asset data and systems and driving development and implementation of best practice processes.

The role can be based at any of our South East offices (Maidstone, Basingstoke or Guildford) on a hybrid basis.

You will be required to drive as part of your role and you will need to have a full driving licence, with no more than 3 points, to be considered for this position.
