Position Description
  • Develop and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to diverse learning needs of SEN students.
  • Implement and adapt literacy frameworks to maximise student progress.
  • Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Employ effective classroom management strategies to maintain a focused learning environment.
  • Collaborate with support staff and other professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Minimum 6 months' experience teaching students with SEN (Experience with Autism, ADHD, SLD, and PMLD highly desirable).
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to professional development and a passion for supporting students with SEN.
