Job description

Role - English Teacher:

Location: Altrincham

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic English Teacher to work in a secondary school in Altrincham. This is a full-time role looking to start in September and is a great opportunity to join a team of welcoming and supportive staff. If you are someone who has taught in the past and are wanting to get back into it, this could be the perfect role for you! The school is located near various public transport links and also has access to staff car parks.

The salary for this role is between £150-£200 per day dependent on experience.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Specialism in Chemistry, Physics, or Biology is desirable
• Previous secondary teaching experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure classroom management
• Passionate about teaching to encourage and inspire students’ academic abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare students for GCSE exams by providing high-quality learning and confidence in delivering lessons.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons for both KS3 and KS4 students.
• Be confident using practical experiments, real-world examples, and technology for the benefit of the students.
• Collaborate with different colleagues and staff members to ensure productive learning strategies are being prioritized.
• Offer targeted interventions for students who may be struggling or underachieving.
