A leading defence organisation is seeking an Engineering Team Lead for the Calibration & Maintenance department in Stevenage. This role involves managing routine calibrations of STTE and COTS, ensuring compliance with standards, and leading a team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have proven management skills, a relevant engineering qualification, and a strong grasp of calibration principles. The position offers a competitive salary and dynamic hybrid working arrangements.

Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
This opportunity is for an Engineering Team Lead to join the Calibration & Maintenance department at Stevenage, which is part of the Manufacturing functional organisation. The Calibration & Maintenance Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for day-to-day planning and completion of STTE (special to type test equipment) calibrations. Knowledge of calibration requirements, calibration controls & equipment capabilities is critical, as well as the ability to work in cross functional teams, reporting to external stakeholders.
You will be working with the wider C&M department supporting the Operations teams to deliver their routine calibration activities and drive continuous improvement.
