A leading service provider is looking for an Engineering Specialist in Gosport, UK. Full‑time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term‑time only basis.

HMS Sultan, Portsmouth.

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

Job Description
What you’ll be doing
  • Delivering training to groups of up to 24 trainees in Electrical or Electronic engineering and machine principles.
  • Conducting practical lab sessions, demonstrating key principles and supervising trainee experiments.
  • Marking and check‑marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintaining and updating training materials with Training Design staff.
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • You will have at least a Foundation Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline), or an HND/FdSc in Electronic or Electric Engineering or proven teaching/practical experience in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Classroom experience in teaching technical subjects in an adult education environment.
  • Level 4 teaching qualification.
  • Experience of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (or equivalent).

This role is offered on a term‑time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non‑working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro‑rata and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
