Job summary

A recruitment consultancy based in England is seeking a Sales Administrator to provide administrative support during a maternity leave. This role focuses on quote preparation, CRM maintenance, and customer communication to ensure continuity in sales operations. Ideal candidates should possess strong organizational skills, experience in sales support, and familiarity with CRM systems. This position offers a salary of £30,000.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales and Production teams in preparing quotes, processing purchase orders.
  • Ensure CRM is kept up-to-date with relevant customer communications.
  • Liaise with production and internal teams to obtain lead times.
  • Monitor and follow up on key quotes as directed by the Sales Manager.
  • Attend internal sales meetings and contribute to reporting.
  • Maintain sales records and administrative documentation in electronic and hard copy.
  • Assist in the coordination of customer visits and exhibition planning.
  • Support in the processing of sales orders and documentation.
  • Ensure all systems and processes are followed accurately.
  • Obtain feedback on lost enquiries to improve performance.
  • Ensure customers are aware of manufacturing progress.
  • Prepare and issue Engineering progress reports to customers.
  • Compile and report sales figures.

Strong administrative and organisational skills

Able to manage and prioritise workload with minimal supervision
Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
Willingness to learn and support commercial activities
Previous experience in a sales support, commercial admin or customer service role
Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, or technical product environments
