    • You conduct great 1-1 with your engineers
  • Delivery & Processes
    • You are crucial for getting things rolling and ensuring a smooth delivery
    • You are removing blockers and seeking process improvements collaboratively with your team and your Product Manager
  • Champion our tech vision and consult the engineers accordingly
  • Collaborative with Engineering Managers of other teams, Tech Leads, Agile Coaches, a People Business Partner, Head of Engineering, and the CTO

What you need to succeed:

  • Multiple years of experience as a manager of software engineers in a distributed product team
  • An engineering background with ability to hands-on code
  • Capable of hands-on coding where possible (e.g. review PRs, smaller tasks, pairing), software architecture, and system design
  • Track record and passion for growing, coaching, and mentoring your team
  • An excellent understanding of agile software development methodologies, best practices, and tools. You know their trade-offs and how they can support a smooth delivery of your team’s goals
  • Excellent communication skills and an empathetic and self-reflective mindset
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills to work in an international environment
  • Commitment to knowledge sharing and learning from everyone around you about leadership and new technologies
