Our Engineer Surveyors are at the forefront of our business, visiting client sites to carry out inspections and assess plant, equipment, and installations. As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor, you would automatically be enrolled onto an unrivalled induction training programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a good knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline to join Allianz Engineering, a division of one of the largest insurers and financial services companies in the world.

Responsibilities
  • Anticipate our client's needs and help them ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Work closely with the Engineer Surveyor Team managed by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
  • Prepare examination reports after inspections using electronic reporting for fast and efficient delivery to clients.
  • Carry out hands-on inspections of plant and equipment such as lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
Salary and Benefits

Starting Salary £44,213 + Company Car and more. Salary is part of the total reward package. About You / Essential Skills
  • Up to date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules relating to the Lift and Crane discipline.
  • Decision-making ability and willingness to take responsibility.
  • Effective short, medium and long-term planning; diarising meetings, visits and work allocation.
  • Ability to travel within the local allocated work area.
  • Timely processing of documentation and general administration.
  • Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.
  • Passionate about engineering, self-driven, with the ability to interact with clients daily.
  • Background in lifts, cranes, and materials handling, with hands-on experience in manufacturing/repair/maintenance.
  • Strong customer interaction skills, including oral and written communication.
Essential Skills
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical-related subject.
  • Full valid UK driving licence.
  • Good time management and ability to self-organise weekly work.
  • Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of the working day.

Desirable Skills
  • Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
