Salary: £41,818.21
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Maidstone, a men's prison. You will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair water supply, heating, and water systems in accordance with Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Organize and manage maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.
Qualifications
  • At least two years' experience as a plumber or equivalent role.
  • Qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and people skills.
