Job summary

A renewable energy business is seeking an Engine Technician for its Wareham location. You will service and maintain gas-powered engines, ensuring compliance and safety at power stations. This role offers a salary of up to £45,000 with bonuses, comprehensive health plans, and ongoing training in renewable energy. Ideal candidates will have engine experience and NVQ/HNC qualifications. A company van and tools will be provided.

Engine Technician – Wareham, Dorset. Salary £38,000 - £42,000 + overtime, standby & bonus (up to £45,000+).

TRG are recruiting an Engine Technician to join a renewable energy business covering parts of Dorset from Wareham to Dorchester, working with large gas-powered engines and generation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair reciprocating engines and associated equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out commissioning work
• Support the safe and efficient running of power stations
• Manage stock, parts and ensure compliance on site
• Take part in a regional on-call rota

What We're Looking For

• Experience with diesel, gas or petrol engines (HGV, marine, automotive or power generation)
• NVQ/HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Strong fault-finding skills and flexibility for on-call duties
