Job description
Overview

An enthusiastic and experienced Engagement Lead to join our brand new team within the Academic Centre for Healthy Ageing (ACHA) at Whipps Cross Hospital. ACHA is anchored to the Barts Health ambition to transform Whipps Cross to a world-class centre of excellence, leveraging academic collaborations with Queen Mary University London and partners to achieve outstanding care for patients in North East London.

ACHA places research on the front line of local health and care services to create a living laboratory, bringing frontline experience together with academic research to improve understanding of local needs and develop targeted interventions.

We are committed to strong patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) across the integrated care system, ensuring ACHA’s output adds value to people’s lives through continuous engagement and co-production to capture consumer knowledge and experience.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead on patient and public engagement and involvement and embed the patient and public voice throughout ACHA’s work.
  • Coordinate, communicate with and engage key stakeholders through a variety of methods.
  • Act as a strategic PPIE specialist with a track record of delivering coproduction and innovative engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with the ACHA team to create an inclusive community of practice around research delivery across Barts Health and to share learning.
  • Ensure PPIE impact evidence is accessible and contributes to the development of future research projects, policy and practice.
  • Base location is Whipps Cross Hospital with expectation to work across north east London and some home-working.
