Applications are invited for the post of Energy and Environment Manager in the Estates Department.
As a University of Social Purpose, we aspire to be one of London's most sustainable institutions, united in our action to mitigate against, and adapt to, the climate and biodiversity crises.
Our new Energy and Environment Manager will play a crucial role in this by leading our energy, waste and water management efforts across Royal Holloway’s Egham and London campuses.
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability within the Estates Department, you will be responsible for optimising our energy use in line with our Carbon Reduction Plan and wider sustainability ambitions. This will include developing operating plans for our energy infrastructure and Building Management System (BMS), introducing energy saving initiatives across the estate, and managing our electricity and gas supplies.
Working alongside our vibrant workforce and student cohort, you’ll also support our efforts to reduce our waste production and water consumption by managing contracts and developing new tools, processes, policies and facilities.
We’re looking for a new teammate with a proven track record of reducing an organisation’s environmental footprint. You should be used to supporting and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, be a strong communicator, be confident using specialist IT programmes, and have a strong working knowledge of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
