Overview

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Endoscopy Porter/Housekeeper for the Endoscopy Unit at St George's Hospital. The role will involve transferring patients and instruments to and from the unit and therefore requires physical fitness. You will work within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in a changeable environment and should understand the caring character of an NHS service, which is to care for patients and visitors often in pain or distress.

Main duties

• Transfer patients and instruments to and from the Endoscopy Unit; be physically fit for the position.
• Work within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in a changeable environment and support the care of patients and visitors in pain or distress.
• Communicate in English with clarity.
• Have a good basic knowledge of IT, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and the use of databases.
