Job description
End of Life Care Team administrator

The closing date is 18 January 2026

To work within the end of life care (EOLC) team to deliver a high standard of clerical and administrative support. The post holder must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and have the confidence to deal with a variety of people, within the service, across CHFT and the public.

This role will support the smooth running of the EOLC team including organisational and administrative support of end of life care education.

The post holder will also regularly visit and be the first point of contact for wards to ensure they have stock of end of life care resources.

Main duties of the job

Act as a key communication link between the EOLC team, wards and departments, ensuring all information is passed on promptly and confidentially

Perform general administrative duties, including filing, printing, photocopying, scanning, and answering telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.

Use a variety of methods of communication: phone, email, intranet, face to face to promote all EOLC training opportunities and learning and education events

Book and register learners onto the EOLC training database, contacting delegates, updating attendance and filing information as necessary.

Typing and administration of correspondence and documents using Microsoft word/outlook

Create reports and run ad hoc reports for department upon request. Manipulating/summarising/filter the data in Excel if required

Respond to all queries in a timely manner, including signposting to other departments

Assist with training room configuration such as moving chairs and small tables as needed.

Design flyers advertising EOLC education, book rooms for EOLC education sessions and ensure information is shared widely and appropriately.

Provide and receive routine information requiring tact or persuasive skills. Be aware and support where there may be barriers to understanding. Resolves problems/issues, escalating issues when necessary.
