We're expanding our busy and successful Employment Services team and are recruiting an Employment Tax Assistant Manager / Employment Tax Manager in Birmingham.

All members of our exceptional team have contact with clients and develop skills not just in relation to the technicalities around tax but also in how to interact with clients, scope, and price work, produce good oral and written advice, solve client problems, and manage the firm’s risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in advisory work and development of new opportunities within Dains client base
  • Preparing reports and written advice in email and letters
  • Preparing correspondence with HMRC
  • Working with the team to ensure ongoing maintenance of relationships with existing clients
  • Participation with preparation and issue of ad hoc marketing materials to clients and targets, to generate new contacts and work for the team
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Have a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience within Employment Tax or another Tax discipline
  • Present strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong mathematic skills and present strong analytical and methodical skills
  • Present good knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • You will need to demonstrate resilience and confidence taking on new challenges
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and outcome focused and meet tight deadlines
  • You must be confident on Excel and common tax software within the market
