Job description

Commercial law firm in London is seeking to recruit an Employment lawyer of 1 or more years’ PQE. This firm has an established and ambitious Employment practice with great opportunities for highly motivated team lawyers. The team works primarily in the financial services, partnership and technology sectors.

Matters which the successful candidate can expect to be involved in, include:

  • assisting with day to day HR law advice to clients (predominantly in the financial services, professional services and tech/fintech sectors)
  • advising predominantly employers but also senior executives and partners on dismissals, disciplinary processes, grievances and other tricky workplace issues
  • supporting clients to manage investigations involving business critical issues and working with partners in the capacity as investigator
  • working as part of a team on complex, high value litigation
  • drafting and advising on employee contracts, handbooks, consultancy agreements and other employee related documentation
  • and developing an understanding of wider legal issues relating to employment, for example partnership, data protection and SMCR and SRA regulatory matters
  • advising on TUPE and other employee related matters associated with business restructures, sales and purchases.
