Employability Tutor

Location: College in Hull

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: February 13th in the first instance

Role Type: Part-time (Monday to Thursday)

Salary: £20-£26 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Join our team as an Employability Tutor at a reputable college in Hull. We are seeking a motivated individual to work with students who are not in employment, training, or education. The successful candidate will create a positive and motivational environment to help students achieve qualifications and pursue employment opportunities in the future. This is a part time, temporary position.

Key Duties
  • Deliver engaging sessions to support students in developing employability skills.
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students, including CV writing and interview preparation.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver innovative employability programmes.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and encouragement.
  • Liaise with external agencies and employers to arrange work placements and job opportunities.
  • Organise workshops and events to enhance students’ employability prospects.
Qualifications
  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • CV must cover the full CV History.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
