Overview

Emergency Care Assistant role with Ambulnz Community Partners (ACP) at Watford base. We are looking for experienced Emergency Care Assistants to support a healthy work-life balance, training and development, and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a professional and caring service to all patients as part of a team.
  • Deliver high standards of clinical and personal care within inter-hospital and pre-hospital environments, within your scope of practice.
  • Respond to operational requirements in a safe and efficient manner as directed by the Emergency Control Centre.
  • Respond to the clinical needs of patients following directions from a senior clinician on scene or remotely per clinical guidelines/protocols.
  • Support the lead clinician by providing effective clinical care, assisting with diagnostic procedures, making professional judgments, and delivering safe and effective treatments.
  • Drive all types of approved Ambulance Service vehicles under normal and emergency (blue light) conditions in accordance with road traffic law.
Role Requirements
  • Hold a UK manual 'Category B' driving licence for at least 1 year and no more than 6 points on your licence.
  • Hold a FREC 4 or equivalent qualification and an emergency driving qualification.
  • Physical fitness to reach inaccessible patients, perform manual handling, and conduct CPR when required.
  • Warm and caring personality with the ability to connect with people.
  • Quality references covering the last three years of employment history and a satisfactory, enhanced DBS check.
