Qualifications

  • Qualified to a minimum of HNC or equivalent in electrical and electronic engineering.
  • Experience in test and evaluation of RF or broadcasting electronic assemblies and equipment.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to technically support customers and production.

Responsibilities

  • Review new customer test specifications and recommend changes.
  • Set-up, review and verify customer supplied test equipment.
  • Create fault logs and classify failure modes for products.
  • Support Quality and Production in monitoring test equipment status.
  • Investigate customer returns and diagnose faults.
  • Maintain awareness of industry standards and best practices.

Electronics Test Engineer

Salary: £38k-£40k
Location: Andover
Hours: Monday–Friday, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Permanent

Our market leading client is seeking a proactive Electronics Test Engineer to work at their modern manufacturing facility in Andover. You will support the Test department, carrying out functional tests on a range of PCB's, RF design according to the customer specifications. You will also provide professional and technical expertise and support other departments to achieve maximum quality.

Responsibilities
  • Review of new customer test specifications and where necessary recommend changes to ensure all test documents are fit for use
  • First set-up, review and verification of customer supplied test equipment
  • Creation of fault logs and classification of failure modes for products to help test the Quality department in yield analysis
  • Support the Quality and Production functions in monitoring the functional state and calibration status of all test equipment and fixtures
  • Investigate customer returns and diagnose faults and identify the root cause and preventative actions
  • Maintain awareness of industry standards and best practices
Desirable Experience
  • Ideally qualified to a minimum of HNC or equivalent in electrical and electronic engineering
  • Experience in Test and evaluation of RF or broadcasting electronic assemblies and equipment
  • Able to demonstrate ability to technically support customers and production with manufacturing queries
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
