Electronics Engineer

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000

We are a global leader in management access solutions with our systems installed all over the world. Having planted our roots more than 30 years ago our products are now used by clients such as John Lewis, Ikea, Walmart and more all over the world. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our successful team. You will be responsible for developing new electronic designs and firmware as well as any supporting tools and fixtures needed for production. You will work on projects alongside our Mechanical Design and Software Development Teams to help bring together new products and innovations. Our products cover a wide range of technologies including microcontrollers, applications processors, power supplies, analogue and RF design.

An exciting position, we can offer the successful candidate an attractive salary, 25 days holiday, annual bonus and hybrid working (one day a week in office and occasional other days for testing)

Requirements
  • At least three years' experience working in an Electronics / Embedded role
  • Engineering degree in Electronics or equivalent discipline
  • Experience developing electronic products from the ground up through to production
  • Electronics design skills (across microcontrollers, analogue, digital and power supplies)
  • Experience with full PCB design process covering libraries, schematic, PCB layout and manufacturing file generation
  • Experience with firmware design and debugging (embedded C)
  • Experience with performing electronic testing and using common test equipment (oscilloscopes, bench PSU, multimeters etc.)
  • Good hands-on prototyping skills - soldering, wiring, mechanical
  • Good working knowledge of various communication interfaces such as CAN, RS232, RSS485, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet etc.
