Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to support its manufacturing and testing of resistors, particularly those produced to meet QPL (Qualified Products List) and AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards. This position is responsible for executing laboratory testing, quality inspections, and supporting technical documentation in compliance with our certified Quality Management System (QMS).

Responsibilities

Lab Technician Duties

  • Perform electrical and environmental testing on resistor products per internal specifications and customer requirements (i.e. MIL-PRF, QPL)
  • Operate precision instruments (e.g., ohm meters, temperature/humidity chambers, life test setups) to validate product performance
  • Record and analyze data accurately; maintain test logs and traceable records in accordance with AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements
  • Assist engineering in qualification testing, failure analysis, and sustaining engineering initiatives

Quality Assurance Duties

  • Conduct inspections on incoming material, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with QMS and customer requirements.
  • Complete quality records including inspection reports, deviation logs, and nonconformance reports
  • Support corrective and preventive actions (RCCA, 8D), internal audits, and customer audit readiness
  • Maintain calibration records and assist in equipment verification and maintenance.
  • Ensure traceability and document control for parts subject to military and aerospace specifications

Technical Documentation

  • Author and/or revise standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (WI), test methods, and inspection plans within QMS
  • Ensure documentation meets the format, control, and revision requirements per QMS
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality to continuously improve clarity, usability, and compliance of documentation
  • Support document management system updates and change control processes
Qualifications

Education: Associate degree in a technical field; relevant experience will be considered in lieu

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Space components and compliance documentation. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards. Comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, test specs, and quality documentation. Ability to read and interpret precision measuring equipment including Ohms Meter, Calipers, and Micrometers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP and QMS experience a plus. High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and collaborative mindset.
