Qualifications

  • 3-4 years post-degree experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
  • IPC soldering experience beneficial.
  • Must hold full UK or EU Drivers Licence and have own transport.

Job description
Overview

We are actively recruiting an Electronic Engineer for an established and fast growing business. You will be working within a dedicated team of development engineers where you will be working on both hardware and software product development and build.

Responsibilities
  • Design test applications
  • Electronic system design
  • Develop hardware and software test specifications
  • Design and develop electronic test specifications and applications for test equipment
  • Ensuring that procurement, design, development implementation is within project scope
  • Test Development
  • Solving a range of problems in test applications including mechanical, electrical or pneumatic
  • Electro-Mechanical assembly including wiring, soldering and crimping
  • Produce and control engineering drawings
  • Support project proposals and specifications
Requirements
  • Formal engineering qualification in electronic and electrical engineering to degree (1st ideally)
  • A Level (or equivalent) Maths, Physics, Design Technology, Electronics
  • GCSEs at Grade B or above
  • 3-4 years post degree experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
Essential Competencies
  • Hands on product development and build of electro-mechanical products
  • Hardware and software experience including LabVIEW or similar
  • Functional test plans and scripts (LabVIEW)
  • Knowledge developing and working with ATE solutions (A Must Have)
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on a variety of projects
  • Strong verbal communication and written skills at all levels
  • Methodical thinking and problem solver
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work well in a fast paced environment
  • Strong project planning and time management skills
  • IPC soldering experience beneficial
  • Hold full UK or EU Drivers Licence
  • Own transport required
  • Security checks will be required
