Job summary

A leading engineering firm in East Sussex is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer. The role involves supporting new product development and providing technical support. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, along with experience in mechanical design and CAD, preferably using Solidworks. The salary ranges from £40,000 to £45,000 per year based on experience. Note that this position does not offer Visa Sponsorship.

Qualifications

• HNC/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/apprenticeship.
• Mechanical Engineering knowledge and experience.
• Experience in CAD 2D/3D using Solidworks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Department in new product development.
• Provide technical support.

Skills

Mechanical Engineering knowledge

Design experience in low and medium voltage switchgear

Design experience of railway overhead line equipment

Experience in mechanical drive and interlock design
