A leading logistics company in the UK is seeking two Electromechanical Design Engineers to join their team in Crewe. The role involves designing control and power distribution cabinets, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with specifications. Candidates should have experience in electrical and mechanical design processes and hold a relevant engineering degree. We are looking for 2 Electromechanical Design Engineers to join the team in Crewe to design and produce high quality control and power distribution cabinets from concept through to final delivery ensuring compliance with customer specification, engineering standards and national safety regulations.
The role combines electrical and mechanical design disciplines to deliver complete engineered solutions, including cabinet layouts, electrical schematics, component selection and integration of control hardware. The Electromechanical Design Engineer will provide technical support to the production team, assist in testing and commissioning activities, and contribute to continuous improvements initiatives within the Power Products team.
This role does not have any managerial responsibilities; however you may be expected to provide guidance to Graduate Engineers and Design Engineers where appropriate. You will be located near the Crewe office (your home office location) but will need flexibility to travel to Coventry to support other team members and to customer sites for surveys, testing and/or commissioning. You will work proactively under the general direction of the Design Engineering Manager within company policies, procedures and delegated authority, manage workload effectively, challenge existing practices constructively, and identify opportunities for design improvement or cost reduction.
