Overview

Electrician

Location: HMP Eastwood Park, Falfield, Wotton-Under-Edge. GL12 8DB
Salary: £38,333.37 per annum + £1k RRA per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 39 hrs per week, Mon-Fri

We are seeking a dedicated, fully qualified Level 3 Electrician to join our team at HMP Eastwood Park, an Adult, Female prison. You will join a Facilities Maintenance Team working to support a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.

HMP Eastwood Park operates like a self-contained city, and the Facilities Maintenance Team plays a key role in keeping it functioning smoothly and safely. You will work alongside colleagues across trades, including Plumbers, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Level 3 Electrician with a combination of:

Qualifications

• Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
• Two years' experience working as a fully qualified electrician
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
• Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
