Astute's Team is partnering with a leading service company to recruit an Electrical Field Service Technician for its sites mainly in Essex and South East.

The Electrical Field Service Technician role comes with a salary of up to £40,000.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Electrical Technician role

• Maintenance, repair and overhaul of a wide range of equipment such as motors, control panels, actuators, transformers, conveyors and generators.
• Ensuring maintenance reports and logs are kept up to date.
• Ensuring maintenance activities are carried out within defined budgets.
• Diagnosing and fault‑finding electrical problems.
• Ensuring compliance with all health & safety and legal requirements.
• Representing the company in a professional manner.
• Working as part of a call‑out rota.
• Responding to reactive maintenance call‑outs.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection logs.
• Assisting in outage planning, scheduling and coordination.
• Complying with all required quality assurance processes.
• Completing a minimum of two safety observations per month and one vehicle inspection.
• Completing all necessary reports and technical documentation to support activities.

Professional qualifications

• Time Served Apprenticeship in an Electrical Engineering field.
• CompEx training highly desirable.
• Previous experience of electrical testing, installation and fault‑finding.
• Experience working in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant or paper mill.
• Full UK driving licence (necessary for this field‑based role).
