Overview
HM1427 - Electrical Site Engineer. This is a national role; candidates must live within a commutable distance of either Preston or Port Talbot. The role involves staying away most weeks from Monday to Friday lunchtime.
Basic salary £45,000, use of a company vehicle, fuel card, 33 days holidays, pension, and paid overtime. Hours of work are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, with a 2:00 pm finish on Friday. The company covers all hotel expenses in advance and provides an overnight allowance. PPE and tools are provided.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing business seeking experienced Electrical Site Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Provide a combination of installation, repairs and servicing of various equipment, including all associated hardware and components.
- Work as part of a team and contribute to project delivery, ensuring completion within allocated time and to a high standard.
- Complete all HSE and company paperwork after finishing the project and return it to the office.
- Ensure appropriate audits and checks are conducted.
- Receive and implement written and verbal instructions as required.
- Train and supervise team members to ensure adherence to safety documentation.
Candidate Skills & Duties
- Ideally hold IPAF and PASMA certificates (the company will fund these if not held).
- Possess mechanical skills.
- Ability to work with power tools (drills, grinders, etc.).
- Be responsible for installation, service and maintenance of a range of doors which can be NPSA (CPNI) rated; these can be electrical or mechanical operated.
- Provide an innovative and technically aware approach to problem solving.
- Comply with all health & safety requirements onsite.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Electrical Site Engineer with ECS Gold Card - BS 7 Edition, and CSCS or SSSTS card.
- Experience of working onsite and possession of mechanical skills.
- As the role involves working on high-level security sites, candidates must undergo SC Security Clearance and a full DBS check (paid for by the company).
- UK Passport holder; have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years and be able to demonstrate the last 3 years of work history for reference purposes.
