Job Title: Electrical Shift Engineer – Continental Shifts
Location: Chiswick, London
Salary: £57,000 per year (Shift Engineer) / £61,000 per year (Shift Lead)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Continental (Days and Nights)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a critical technical site based in Chiswick. This role is suited to someone with a strong electrical maintenance background who is looking to work in a high-performing and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure all systems are safe, compliant, and running efficiently

  • Provide first-line support for M&E plant including pumps, motors, drives, air handling units, LV switchgear, PLCs, and SCADA systems

  • Monitor building systems and contribute to energy efficiency and performance improvements

  • Complete and update helpdesk tasks with accurate records and documentation

  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety standards

  • Work closely within the shift team to ensure smooth site operations

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Test and Inspection)

  • Experience working with high voltage systems (AP status or HV awareness desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of statutory regulations and maintenance practices

  • Previous experience in a technical or critical environment on shift patterns

  • IOSH Working Safely or similar health and safety training preferred
