Electrical Pre-Contracts Manager

A market-leading MEP contractor business is looking to hire a diligent Electrical Pre-Contracts Manager to secure new work from existing clients.

The role involves managing the pre-construction phases through to project acquisition, incentivized by a generous bonus structure.

Responsibilities:
  1. Liaising directly with clients to discuss job briefs and managing the process through to pricing and project win.
  2. Monitoring and reviewing tender documentation from sub-contractor businesses.
  3. Ensuring all tenders are robust and as competitive as possible.
  4. Liaising directly with clients and sub-contractors, ensuring tender stages run efficiently.
  5. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and helping coordinate tenders with internal teams.
  6. Developing relationships with new and existing clients.
  7. Designing and sizing mechanical equipment ready for tender.
  8. Maintaining company standards regarding quality.
  9. Attending pre-contract meetings with clients and internal team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a building services environment.
  • Related qualification in the building services or electrical industry.
  • Ability to review multiple project tenders simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems design and installation.
  • Good commercial understanding of M&E contracting, working as both Principal and/or Sub-Contractor.
  • Strong communication skills, both internal and external.
  • Experience working with and managing sub-contractors to ensure maximum results.
Benefits:
  • Salary between £50,000 and £80,000.
