Electrical Maintenance Engineer - £42,000 + Overtime + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join one of the UK's leading manufacturers, based in Westbury. With over 150 years of experience, this company continues to grow and invest heavily in its people, technology, and facilities. The Role:

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of a wide range of production machinery. You'll work within a supportive maintenance team, reacting to breakdowns, conducting fault‑finding, and carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance tasks. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to improvement projects and machinery upgrades, supporting the continuous development of the site's production capabilities.

You’ll work alongside a Mechanical Engineer and Team Leader on a rotating three‑shift pattern, covering mornings, afternoons, and nights. This varied position involves working across more than 35 different types of machines, providing excellent exposure to a wide range of electrical systems and control technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to electrical breakdowns and diagnose faults quickly and effectively.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Support machinery upgrades, installations, and improvement projects.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Recognised electrical engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Strong electrical fault‑finding and maintenance skills.
  • PLC fault‑finding and control systems knowledge.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems would be advantageous.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a proactive, self‑motivated attitude.
